I obtained a BSc Chemistry degree and started work in a Steel Industry as a Production Assistant. I also worked in a Tea Industry as a Group Chemist where I was in charge of tea quality, soil fertility and fertilizers, wastewater treatment, water quality and factory quality control. I then continued with my studies and acquired a MSc in Analytical Chemistry in 2008 and joined the University as a Lecturer. I then obtained my PhD in Analytical Chemistry in 2014. I have worked in three different Universities in Kenya. During this time, I have been teaching, researching and supervising graduate students locally, regionally and International. My research interests are in the areas of environmental impact assessment and audit, atmospheric monitoring, soil fertility and wastewater treatment technologies.
