    Perfect for: Individuals who want to become confident users of the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS). Whether you're a student/emerging lecturer or a senior academic, you'll learn how to navigate and use Moodle effectively to support online learning and course design. The course is ideal for anyone looking to build foundational skills in digital teaching and learning using Moodle. What You’ll Learn: Through practical examples and weekly topics, the course covers essential Moodle features such as:
    • adding content
    • creating quizzes and assignments
    • using video for teaching
    • reflecting on how to design a quality digital learning experience
    Hands-On Learning: Participants will actively build and test Moodle activities while exploring the platform from both student and lecturer perspectives. Course Format: The course is delivered online through self-paced units, combining videos, readings, activities, and optional Zoom sessions.
    Thirty notional hours 5 hours of self-directed learning per week.
    Live Zoom sessions: May include optional live Zoom support. Target group: Lecturers, postgraduate students, and academic staff. Learning Outcomes:
    • Develop skills and confidence as an online teacher and course designer
    • Learn to navigate and use Moodle as both a student and lecturer
    • Engage in course activities and complete online assessments
    • Design activities and assignments using sound pedagogical practice
    Requirements: Participants are expected to engage actively in the units, complete activities and assignments professionally, and participate in forums. You do not need to master every tool immediately — this course is about growing steadily through practice. A stable internet connection, access to Moodle, and basic familiarity with Zoom are required. A laptop is recommended, although a tablet with the Moodle app may also be used. Back to all courses
