    Transform Your PowerPoint Slides into Engaging E-Learning!

    What You’ll Learn:

    In just two weeks, you’ll gain the skills to:

    • Explore seven different ways to display PowerPoint presentations on Moodle
    • Upload and format your slides for online teaching
    • Decide which presentation format works best for your content and students
    • Enhance the look of your presentations with simple design improvements
    • Discover creative and alternative uses for PowerPoint in academic settings

    Hands-On Learning:

    This mini-module is interactive and practical, with short, focused learning units with optional enrichment tasks; a practice course (“sandbox”) in Moodle where you can test and apply new skills; forum-based assignments that encourage peer exchange and collaboration and two Zoom sessions: one at the start for orientation and one at the end for reflection and Q&A.

    Course Format:

    Weekly live Zoom sessions to help you connect, ask questions, and deepen your understanding

    Approx. 5 hours self-paced learning

    Live Zoom sessions:

    Two Zoom meetings (intro + wrap-up)

    Target group:

    Lecturers, trainers, and educators

    Learning Outcomes (four main points):

    • Confidently display PowerPoint presentations in Moodle using multiple methods
    • Apply technical skills to upload and adapt your slides for e-learning
    • Improve the visual appeal of your presentations
    • Use PowerPoint in new and innovative ways beyond traditional lectures

    Requirements:

    Access to Microsoft PowerPoint, Moodle, and a reliable internet connection; active participation in forums and assignments (Units 4, 5, and 6 are compulsory for certification) and a willingness to experiment, practice, and share insights with your peers.

      2. Staff
        • Staff is everybody who works in the frame of a university which is participating at DIGI-FACE (African Centres of Excellence and its network) [(i.e. as coordinator, financial/administrative support, IT-support, learning designer, administrator etc.). If you are working for DAAD or DIGI-FACE you are also staff.
      3. Alumni
        • An Alumni is a former student in a study programme at one of the universities which is participating at DIGI-FACE (African Centres of Excellence and its network). In many cases, part of one of the centres’ alumni associations.
      4. Lecturer
        • A Lecturer performs teaching and pedagogic work at one of the universities which is participating at DIGI-FACE (African Centres of Excellence and its network)
      5. Researcher
        • A researcher is an individual who is engaged in conducting research at one of the universities which is participating in DIGI-FACE (African Centres of Excellence, Global Centres and its networks). Researchers contribute to academic knowledge through studies, experiments, and publications in various fields of expertise.
