DAAD scholars converged at Chuka University, Kenya, from 22-23 August 2024 to explore the role of Generative AI (GenAI) in higher education. The influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on higher education is profound, offering both opportunities and challenges. Early adopters are better positioned to replace laggards and technophobic as lecturers in the AI era. As institutions navigate this intelligence revolution, the focus should be on governance, equity, ethical concerns, digital inclusion, and fostering critical thinking.
