In July, we had the privilege of partnering once again with King’s College London to deliver their popular AI in Education course — this time with an updated version! The program brought together participants from across 15 countries, with the largest groups joining from Kenya, Germany, and Uganda.

Participants came eager to explore how artificial intelligence is shaping education and research. We are deeply grateful to all who shared their reflections with us — 34 participants completed the evaluation — offering valuable insights into what worked well and where we can continue to grow.

Key Takeaways from the Feedback

1. Engaging and Accessible Content

Learners valued the clear structure of the modules, highlighting how complex concepts were broken down into manageable steps. The mix of videos, readings, and practical exercises made the material approachable, even for those entirely new to AI.

2. Hands-On Learning

The strongest praise went to the practical components. Participants enjoyed experimenting with AI tools and applying them directly to real-world educational scenarios. These activities boosted confidence in integrating AI into both teaching and research practices.

3. Supportive Learning Environment

Facilitators were commended for being approachable and responsive. Interactive discussions — whether in forums or live sessions — were especially valued for fostering a sense of community and enabling cross-disciplinary exchange of ideas.

AI is not just a subject to study — it is a tool to be used, questioned, and adapted in our professional lives. The feedback reminds us that effective learning happens when theory meets practice in a supportive environment.

We are proud that 28 participants successfully completed the course this year, and together, we are building a stronger foundation for AI literacy in higher education.

Thank you to every participant for your contribution — your voices shape the future of this learning journey.
