At DIGI-FACE, quality assurance is central to how we design, deliver, and certify our digital learning opportunities. As part of the DAAD-funded African Centres of Excellence programme, we are committed to maintaining high academic standards while providing flexible learning opportunities for postgraduate students, researchers, academics, and university professionals.

To support this commitment, the DIGI-FACE consortium established a Quality Assurance Board (QAB) to oversee the development of our e-learning modules, micro-credentials, and publications. The Board brings together experts from partner universities across Africa and Europe, including Nelson Mandela University, Kehl University of Applied Sciences, the University of Oldenburg, Uganda Management Institute, and the Université Protestante du Congo.

DIGI-FACE credentials are designed as structured learning units with clearly defined outcomes, assessed activities, and verified workloads. Digital badges can be combined into Short Learning Programmes, allowing participants to build meaningful, skills-focused learning pathways.

Each credential and certificate issued by DIGI-FACE confirms that the learning has undergone a formal review process and meets recognised international standards for micro-credentials. Certificates include detailed information about the learning outcomes achieved and carry a unique verification number, ensuring transparency and credibility.

Through this structured quality assurance system, DIGI-FACE ensures that its courses and credentials represent learning that institutions, employers, and partners can trust.
