Sustainable Management of Water Resources in Africa
In cooperation with DAAD and the University of Johannesburg, TU Bergakademie Freiberg is organizing the International Germany Alumni Seminar on “Sustainable Management of Water Resources in Africa.”
The seminar comprises two components:
- Online Training: 10th March – 16th May 2025
- In-Person Training Seminar: 1st – 7th July 2025, Johannesburg, South Africa
The seminar will conclude with participation in the IFAT Africa Trade Fair 2025.
This upcoming Alumni Seminar offers participants unique opportunities to foster sustainable and peaceful water resource management. It facilitates access to a diverse knowledge base, shared experiences, and networking with water resource experts from Germany, who will also participate in the IFAT Africa Trade Fair.
Seminar Highlights:
- Lectures on cutting-edge water technologies and water resource management
- Excursions around Johannesburg to explore water-related challenges firsthand
- Interactive sessions with experts from the AHK Water Competence Centre and German exhibitors at IFAT Africa Trade Fair 2025
- Opportunities for Alumni to exchange knowledge and experiences, strengthening the Network for Collaboration on Water in Africa
This seminar is primarily funded by the DAAD with support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
