Mr. Abraham Zakaria

Abraham Zakaria is an emerging Agricultural Economist with great interest in agricultural and food systems research in Africa. He has in-depth knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methods and is skilled in designing data instruments, performing data analysis, and writing comprehensive project reports. Abraham has had the opportunity to evaluate projects for organizations including JIRCAS, JICA, USAID/IFDC-Feed the Future ATT projects, GIZ (The German Association of Rural Women) among others. Abraham is also skilled in policy analysis, grant proposal writing, and Microsoft suits as well as using econometrics/analytical tools such as STATA, LIMDEP, Eviews, SPSS, and Excel and has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals with a focus on socioeconomics, welfare economics, agricultural technology uptake and adoption, sustainable agricultural, food security, and climate adaptation practices. Abraham has the desire to be part of a team of scholars who explore the mechanisms for agricultural technology uptake and adoption, sustainable agricultural, climate change adaptation practices, agricultural land tenure systems and resource use, and agricultural value chain analysis among farm households to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in West Africa/Sub-Saharan Africa.
