We are excited to invite Project Leaders and Coordinators of the Centres of African Excellence and the DAAD-funded Global Centres to take part in the upcoming DIGI-FACE Learning Dialogues – interactive online networking events dedicated to building stronger, more sustainable futures for our Centres.
These dialogues mark the next step in our collective journey toward embedding long-term sustainability and digital strategies in the African Excellence and Global Centre communities.
The Learning Dialogues are tailored for Project Leaders and Coordinators of African Excellence and Global Centres. To ensure rich peer exchange, we kindly request that each Centre is represented by at least one participant at each event.
The Learning Dialogues are designed as spaces of collaboration, reflection, and action. Together, we will:
- Share best practices and lessons learned on the economic and institutional sustainability of Centres.
- Foster peer exchange and collaboration between Centres.
- Identify individual and collective support needs.
- Strengthen capacity in using sustainability tools and digital solutions.
- Reinforce the community spirit of African Excellence, enriched by insights from our Global Centre colleagues.
Over the past years, the DIGI-FACE project has actively supported Centres of African Excellence in preparing for long-term operations beyond the funding phase. This includes two facilitated online courses:
- Financial Sustainability I: Develop your business concept
- Financial Sustainability II: Cost calculation
These courses are currently being adapted into self-paced formats, with enrolment opening soon.
The Learning Dialogues will build on these resources and previous Centre activities. To prepare, we encourage you to review the Centre Sustainability Advancement Sheet (Canva), developed collaboratively as part of the DIGI-FACE programme. This tool offers inspiration and practical guidance for shaping your Centre’s sustainability model.
