Following the success of our first edition in 2023, which certified 45 participants, the ProRUWA (Promoting Academic Capacities for Sustainable Agricultural Resources Use in West Africa) team at the University of Abomey-Calavi, Benin, in partnership with the Research Arts and Language (RAL) Institute, is thrilled to announce that our second edition of the General and Professional English Training, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) under the German West-African Network Pro-RUWA, is making great strides!
What is this second edition all about?
This intensive 10-week training program is designed to help students and young researchers enhance their English skills, preparing them to tackle today’s challenges in the scientific world and job market. Our unique teaching approach combines self-learning tools with interactive sessions, allowing participants to develop the four essential skills: Writing, Reading, Listening, and Speaking.
Highlights so far:
- 168 applications received
- 60 participants, including 23 females, selected after an in-depth review and placement test
- 50 regular attendees at A2 level
- 10 regular attendees at B1 level
