Call for applications for our September module is out!
Post-graduate (doctoral) students writing their proposals & post-graduate students who are writing up their research and their supervisors are invited to co-attend.
This course helps students identify the expected goals of components of a formal research proposal to demonstrate an intended coherent study towards a critical declaration of their positionality as a researcher.
The course consists of self-directed learning on the Moodle platform and six Zoom sessions (with 5 of them being in one week).
What we expect of you:
- Participation in 6 Zoom sessions (approx. 2 hours each)
- Completion of the activities on Moodle
- Engagement in 2 additional hours per week (in your own time)

Achieving coherence in this current post-graduate research project is crucial for effectively communicating findings and demonstrating the significance of the work. Maintaining a logical progression between sections—such as a well-structured introduction, comprehensive literature review, and cohesive methodology—will help readers follow the argument and understand the relevance of the research. Regular feedback from peers and advisors can help refine ideas and maintain alignment with academic standards. Finally, integrating a synthesis of the findings that directly ties back to the research question will reinforce the coherence of the project, making the conclusions more impactful and relevant to the field of study.
