    DAAD Networking Conference “Centres of African Excellence”

    The Networking Conference will take place on 26, 27 (full days) and the morning of the 28 November 2024. Following the Networking Conference, starting on 28 in the afternoon as well the 29 November 2024 a training for Center Admins of the platform DIGI FACE will be conducted at the same venue as the
    Networking conference.

      MoodleMoot Africa 2024: Sharing Experiences

      Join us on 10 October at 16:00 CAT for an insightful post-conference meeting

      – where both online and in-person attendees of MoodleMoot Africa 2024, will come together to share their experiences. This is your chance to find out more about the MoodleMoot conference!

      Hosted by DIGI-FACE, conference participants will share their experiences of MoodleMoot and what they learned. This way you can benefit from the MoodleMoot conference without having attended the conference itself.

      From 25 – 27 September 2024, the UNISA Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Portfolio in collaboration with the MoodleMoot Africa Association member universities will host the MoodleMoot Africa 2024 Conference.  The  conference aims  to bring together and unite the Moodle community in Africa to share Moodle best practices, knowledge, and competencies to improve the quality of online, e-learning education and training in a globally connected digital era.

      The DIGI-FACE project offers to cover the participation fee for an Virtual Full Conference participation in the amount of 1175 Rand.

      To benefit from this, you just need to send us a short motivation letter explaining your motivation to participate in MoodleMoot, what your expectations are and how you want to use your acquired knowledge in your centre of excellence (max 0,5 – 1 page). You will then be invited to share your experience of MoodleMoot with the African Excellence community in an online event.

      To all Centre Coordinators at the African Centres of Excellence:

      Digtial Initiative for African Centres of Excellence (DIGI-FACE) On-Site Centre-Admin Training in Accra, Ghana |  28 – 29 September 2023

      Enablement and empowerment of Centre Coordinators at the African Centres of Excellence (in their role as multipliers) to maintain, administer and make use of the DIGI-FACE Platform 

      Kindly note that registration via this online platform is mandatory for your participation.

      In addition to the registration/ INFO KIT 1 regarding „DAAD Network Meeting “Centres of African Excellence” in Accra, Ghana | 25 – 28 September 2023, organised by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and funded by the Federal Foreign Office (AA) we, as your DIGI-FACE Coordination Team, are pleased to be able to offer your Centre Coordinators a DIGI-FACE on-site training for the decentralized management and establishment of our DIGI-FACE platform with its role-concept in your Centre of Excellence.

      The training is intended for all Centre Coordinators who will already be in Accra during the DAAD network meeting. It will take place immediately after the DAAD network meeting for 1,5 days (Thursday 28 September from 2-5pm and Friday 29 September from 9am-5pm)

      When planning your trip via the DAAD registration portal, please note that if you are participating in the DIGI-FACE training, you should plan your return flight at Saturday 30 September.

      The additional costs for accommodation and meals regarding the DIGI-FACE training (for Friday, 29th September and Saturday, 30th September) will be covered by DIGI-FACE.

      We look forward to your registration by 7 July 2023!

If you are working for DAAD or DIGI-FACE you are also staff.
      3. Alumni
        • An Alumni is a former student in a study programme at one of the universities which is participating at DIGI-FACE (African Centres of Excellence and its network). In many cases, part of one of the centres’ alumni associations.
      4. Lecturer
        • A Lecturer performs teaching and pedagogic work at one of the universities which is participating at DIGI-FACE (African Centres of Excellence and its network)
      5. Researcher
        • A researcher is an individual who is engaged in conducting research at one of the universities which is participating in DIGI-FACE (African Centres of Excellence, Global Centres and its networks). Researchers contribute to academic knowledge through studies, experiments, and publications in various fields of expertise.
