MERCY CHEMUTAI BARASA

I am a professional teacher with a decade of experience in science instruction (Biology and Chemistry) at the secondary school level. I am also a school administrator. My passion is in teacher development in the areas of pedagogy and leadership. As such, I am a firm proponent of the Uganda National Teachers' Union motto: "The nation is because we are". I look forward to an Africa whose Education system is relevant and competitive in this Global age.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Science Education from Mbarara University of Science and Technology in Uganda (2010), and a Master's degree in Leadership in Educational institutions from Pan Africa Christian University in Nairobi, Kenya (2018). I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Research and Evaluation at Moi University in Kenya.
