On 10 January 2023, we held some engagement meetings with the local political authority, chief and community members of Karra as part of our project: Improving Climate Resilience and Rural Youth Incomes through CSA and Green Energy.
*The goal was to finalize a work plan with community members and collect the most recent baseline data.
*Community members recommended forming a more dynamic women’s group from existing women’s groups who will then spread the benefits of the project to their existing groups. It was also a strategy to avoid future conflicts.
Participatory planning and frequent community engagement are key elements of our work strategy.
