Back by popular demand, DIGI-FACE is excited to offer another opportunity to participate in the updated AI in Education course, developed by Dr Martin Compton and his team at King’s College London.
This reworked version builds on the earlier Generative AI in Higher Education course and features a host of new materials, including an additional week of content, hands-on activities, updated examples, and expanded discussions reflecting the latest developments in the field.
The course explores how artificial intelligence is reshaping education—what we teach, how we teach, and how we learn. Designed for educators, support staff, students, and education professionals, it provides essential foundations in AI and generative AI, showcases real-world applications, and opens up discussion around the ethical dilemmas and professional impacts these technologies raise.
Upon completion, participants will be able to explain key AI concepts, evaluate their use in educational settings, identify ethical challenges, and reflect on the broader implications of AI on learning, teaching practices, and institutional goals.
Course content is structured over three weeks (estimated at 4 hours per week) and includes engaging practical activities, case-based discussions, and access to a global learning community.
DIGI-FACE Zoom Orientation: Tuesday 10 June at 11h00 EAT
Mid-course Discussion: Thursday 19 June 2024 at 11h00 EAT
Course Dates: Start Wednesday 11 June, finish Wednesday 2 July
